Tips for your experience:
A positive attitude is the most important thing that you can bring on this trip. Even for experienced riders, three days of riding can be challenging. We will have a guide in the front, as well as a sweeper in the back, so you can ride at your own pace. That said, riding with a group provides a great opportunity to stretch your comfort zone and take on some new challenges if you feel ready. Make the most of your visit by training ahead of time. Prepare for 15 + miles of riding.

Location:
Our adventures are all based out of the Hisega Adventure Lodge, in the middle of the Black Hills National Forest, twenty minutes from Rapid City Center. With 10 quaint rooms, this rustic lodge was founded by 6 women in 1908. With tasteful updates, each room has it's own bathroom and private entry to the deck overlooking Rapid Creek. Our main lodge great room is comfortable for lounging in front of the fireplace on chilly mornings. The dining room is big enough to seat large groups and is complete with a wine/beer/coffee bar and did I mention... our coffee is FRESH ROASTED right here at the lodge? If you're a coffee snob, you'll love that you can even sit in on a roasting session! The library full of maps and books, full-body massage chair and sunshine is a wonderful little oasis. We have many comfortable outdoor spaces. Our bakyard is a small oasis with many spaces for relaxation including a 7-person hot tub. In the backyard, we have a BBQ grill and fire pit for evening beer-sharing and storytelling. Here you can enjoy the sights and sounds of nature — the breeze blowing through the ponderosa pines and the relaxing rush of Rapid Creek as it flows along the property. Our group rides all take place in the beautiful Black Hills National Forest, we operate through a USFS guide permit on designated trails. We provide transportation to and from all trailheads during your stay.
